Many people wrongly reduce Igbo traditional religion to money rituals, juju and the pursuit of quick wealth.

Prof. Opata warns that some young people are returning to ancestral practices without understanding their spiritual and moral foundation. According to him, authentic Igbo religion was built on structure, responsibility, justice and respect for moral order—not greed.
